home

OK, I have a lot to do to get this looking good, but wanted to post some pictures of the house, and a completely not-to-scale building plan I made so you can see the layout. I'm really excited to get in so I can actually measure the space and figure out what furniture will fit where. Also, a note on the 2nd floor. There are actually 3 rooms, but I'm planning to make one of them a "craft room" for myself and the kids. Jama and Nani are especially excited about it. I'm not sure yet which room I'll use as mine and which will be the craft room, but this gives you something of an idea.

Here are the photoes from the web before I purchased the place.

The bookshelves are really what sold me on the house.

Not real pretty from the front

But the back yard is great

The kitchen nothing fancy, but a nice size.

And here are the building plans

It looks like a beautiful "four-tatami " house, now that autumn is approaching. Can hardly wait to see it. Love, Mom

Essie, I like your site. It looks like it should be a fun place to work on.
Does the back yard have about 50 feet from the house to the back fence, or is it a little smaller.
A relative is planning to bring you a n older lawn mower that should work for now in getting your lawn done.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
Love Dad.

I'm guessing 50 feet is a bit large, but I'm no judge of distance. I'll see what Andy thinks. A lawn mower that works would be great! thank you.

Nice Blog. Needs more ranting and raving before it will feel like a real blog, though. I'm glad that "Dad" reminded me about the lawnmower. I'd kind of forgotten. I'll have to go get it tomorrow night. See you soon.
